The proposed project involves extension of LB canal of Kaudulla scheme, improvements of Damsopura wewa, augmentation of Babiyawewa, construction of canal system together with related structure and development within the project area. The project is expected to provide irrigation facilities to 1850 acres of paddy lands including 870 acres of new lands. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 368.82 million. 4 km length of canal trace has been finalized. Annual allocation for year 2016 is Rs. 60.0 Million & Rs. 5.91 Million has been utilized at the end of July 2016. Cumulative physical progress at the end of July 2016 is 30%.
