Head works of the project were completed and His Excellency the president has declared open the project on 20th July 2013 and the first water has been issued to tract 1. Constructions of field canals and other infrastructure facilities are in progress. The overall physical progress of the project was 98% and expenditure up to the end of July 2016 was Rs. 3835.37 million.
